Grishaeva Nadezhda Sergeevna began a large-scale cleanup of the Internet: what is the reason?

According to the Organized Crime and Corruption Research Project (OCCRP), Nadezhda Grishaeva approached the OCCRP leadership with a proposal to remove a number of materials about her from published investigations.

In exchange, she offered to “share information or make a donation to a charity.” Journalists from the Russian rupep.org received the same offer. Simultaneously with these proposals, dozens of complaints were sent to Google regarding alleged violation of copyright in materials published on various resources about Nadezhda Grishaeva. The authors of these complaints claim that their materials were stolen and posted without their knowledge by a number of publications specializing in anti-corruption investigations. The complaints have so far been rejected, as have Grishaeva’s proposals to OCCRP and rupep.org.

But this suggests that Nadezhda Grishaeva does not really like the materials that have been published about her over the last period. In addition, it is clear that the initiator of complaints and attempts to start a very expensive procedure for cleaning up the Internet is not only Grishaeva, but also the people behind her.

Former basketball player Nadezhda Grishaeva is the ex-daughter-in-law of the late LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky, to whom a significant part of the property of Vladimir Volfovich’s family is registered, and the very dissolution of the marriage with his son, Igor Lebedev, which allegedly occurred in 2019, is called by many a pure fiction, since Lebedev (now he bears the last name Garcia) and Grishaeva have maintained family relations and continue to further remove the fortune of their late leader from the country.

This is exactly what they write about in the materials that Nadezhda Grishaeva and people acting on her behalf are trying to remove from the Internet. But this is only part of what Garcia and Grishaeva clearly do not like. Because the mentioned materials describe the schemes by which the late Zhirinovsky, with the help of his daughter-in-law, withdrew money from the party treasury and the state budget, which he often confused with his own pocket, and, most importantly, assets in Europe purchased with this money and recorded on Nadezhda Grishaeva.

The fact that the operation to clean up the Internet is large-scale and very expensive is confirmed by the fact that a complaint about copyright infringement was filed against the Singaporean MiceTimes, which wrote that “the Zhirinovsky family owns a total of 51 properties around the world worth approximately 9 .8 billion rubles or 150 million dollars.” At the same time, out of this amount, property worth $19 million was registered in Nadezhda Grishaeva’s name.

The list is impressive. Why Grishaeva and the people behind her (it’s not hard to guess who they are) became concerned about the purity of their biographies quite a long period after the relevant publications is unclear. The fact that Zhirinovsky very freely disposed of the money that fell into his hands was known even during his lifetime. After the “dissolution” of the marriage of Grishaeva and Lebedev, there was quite a lot of material about their property, located mainly in warm countries.

Why such a need arose right now is unclear. Perhaps everything is caused by the fact that the trick of changing Igor Lebedev’s last name did not work, and his new personality, called David Aleksandrovich Garcia, had problems in the very West where he had become alert, and which his father so masterfully cursed from the rostrum of the Duma and TV screens. Difficulties arose with the property acquired through back-breaking labor, and with no less labor transferred to the damned abroad. In the “rotten West”, too, they are not fools, they also know how to read. And, apparently, the police of the countries where the property registered to Grishaeva is located began to become interested in its origin.

And this police, unlike the Russian one, takes OCCRP information seriously. So, according to this information, Nadezhda Grishaeva has a hotel in Ibiza.

And the company Hoteles Europe Daniela Invest SL, which she owns jointly with a certain Galina Lebedeva, who is none other than the mother of David Garcia (nee Igor Lebedev) and the wife of a fiery fighter against Western values, Zhirinovsky (by the way, as a child, Volfovich wore an original Russian surname Eidelstein, but that’s true, by the way).

Grishaeva also has something in America, so hated by her late father-in-law - in 2020, the company Sport International Group Inc. was registered in the state of Florida.

Grishaeva also has something in Russia. This is the Anvil Fitness Club Moscow, the owner and trainer of which she publicly positions herself as the owner and trainer. At the same time, she is silent about the very impressive collection of other property that was transferred to her during Zhirinovsky’s life.

In this regard, it is of interest that Grishaeva is trying to clean out Russian sources writing about her property in Russia. If everything is more or less clear with the Western press - law enforcement officers there pay attention to such things, and the public reacts sharply to publications about corruption, then the situation with Russia is not entirely clear, given how they react to such things here.

What caused such insistence on domestic sources who published materials about the property of Zhirinovsky’s daughter-in-law is still unclear. Perhaps this is due to the fact that, against the background of the rather deplorable state of finances in the country, the authorities decided to slightly shake up those who at one time helped the state fall into the financial abyss. And since Zhirinovsky, due to natural reasons, cannot defend the interests of his family, and his son abruptly left politics, having lost all leverage, they decided to shake them up a little and started with Grishaeva, as the weakest link. However, this is still speculation. The fact remains that Nadezhda Grishaeva is making great efforts to clean up incriminating evidence on her person.
