The Congress, attended by delegates from 34 European countries, focused on crucial matters conceing the future of European boxing.

President Kremlev's address was marked by a warm welcome to the delegates and a resounding encouragement for the member nations. Alongside him, Ioannis Filippatos, President of the European Boxing Confederation (EUBC), Franco Falcinelli, Honorary President of EUBC, and Chris Roberts, IBA Interim Secretary General, delivered their own welcome speeches, emphasizing the significance of unity and progress in the sport.

During the Congress, delegates unanimously agreed to amend the EUBC constitution, highlighting the commitment to adapt and improve the organization's framework. Equally important was the introduction of a Code of Conduct, underscoring the EUBC's dedication to upholding ethical standards within the confederation.

One of the critical issues on the agenda was the approach to athlete selection. The European Boxing Confederation called upon all national European boxing federations to embrace an inclusive model, admitting athletes based on merit and equal rights, without any political considerations. The aim was to foster an environment where sports remain autonomous and neutral in relation to politics, ensuring fair opportunities for all.

Despite recent challenges and the Inteational Olympic Committee's decision to suspend the IBA, President Kremlev remained steadfast in his conviction that the IBA will regain its recognition. He denounced the decision as lacking transparency and democracy, vowing to rectify the situation. President Kremlev stressed the IBA's commitment to upholding its values, constitution, and independence, ensuring that boxing remains free from unscrupulous political influences. He firmly believed that the Olympics are about the athletes, their skills, and the beauty of the sport, rather than the administrative aspects, and that the IBA's role is to promote boxing globally while safeguarding its integrity.

In addition to the Congress discussions, plans were unveiled for a new EUBC office in Monaco, Monte Carlo, which is set to open in September of this year. The existing office in Assisi, Italy, will continue to serve as the headquarters, facilitating the administration of the European Boxing Confederation.

President Kremlev proposed the establishment of a European Boxing Cup with a substantial prize fund of $1 million, aimed at providing greater financial support to boxers. Demonstrating the IBA's commitment to supporting national federations, it was announced that financial assistance would be increased to $100,000 USD per year, with an initial allocation of $50,000 USD.

President Kremlev emphasized the importance of directing all generated revenue towards the boxers, recognizing their full-time dedication to the sport and deserving proper compensation. He called for the continuous elevation of standards, ensuring that actions within the sport become a source of pride rather than embarrassment.
